Redhill Aerodrome has been in existence since the 1930's and operated as an RAF station during WWII. A new Air Traffic Control Centre with adjoining Fire Station was added in the 1980's and still acts as the control centre for the airfield.
Redhill today has a range of commercial aviation activities, these range from helicopter and fixed-wing charter services to flight training and aircraft maintenance. The Kent Surrey Sussex Air Ambulance charity and National Police Air Service also operate from facilities within the aerodrome.
